Thomas Weaver
Our nephew Thomas is stationed in Afganistan right now with only weeks to go until he should be home for good, we hope! We would like everyone to please keep him and all of the military serving in Iraq and Afganistan in your thoughts and prayers for a safe homecoming soon!
Jonathan and Stacie!
We actually have some news too! Well, mostly Jman! He got a new job and is finally enjoying his work again, Huntingdon Bank! We have done a few fun things so far this summer, the Clarks concert and the Arts Festival! We will be going to see Rufus Wainwright in August, he is so AWESOME in concert and I got primo seats, again!! Hoping to have some friends over for dinner and at the end of August I will be taking a short trip to NYC for my friend's birthday!
Here's NATE!
Nathan is now officially a 2nd Grader, he made straight A's through the WHOLE year! Nate has been busy playing baseball, when it is not raining, I think we got about 5 games in out of 12. He has finally learned how to ride his bike, I didn't think that would ever happen, but we are all riding the trail now! For the summer he is enjoying the new Slip n Slide at the Weavers, swimming while his sister watches and attending CLO (musical theatre) and Science Camp. The acting bug has bit him good, he is loving CLO camp, they are going to be performing You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. I will post pics soon!
Gene Kelly Awards 2010
All About Erica Jean!
So yes, Erica is now an official Junior!! I didn't think she was going to make it alive, but she did and was even able to squeeze some good grades out of a really rough year! Here are some highlights: inducted into the National Honor Society, completed her 2nd high school musical, performed in the Gene Kelly Awards at the Benedum Center, sang 2 AWESOME solo's in her Musical Theatre Recitals and best yet, completed her Lifeguard training, passed and is NOW a lifeguard at Schenley Park Pool! Looking forward to a great year ahead!
CAPA Arts Jam!
Do you see Jonathan?
Erica's school had it's first annual Arts Jam. There was an Open mic for poetry readings, a Jazz concert going on in the Cabaret Theatre, Flower Pot Painting, Pottery, Karate and Dance lessons. It was a great event we had fun, WE being Nate, Jonathan and me. Where was Erica you ask?? Oh.. there was a free concert a few blocks away from her school so she went to that. :)

Pittsburgh Marathon 2010
One lonely pic... too wet for pictures today!

It was a very WET, HUMID day for a marathon, but we still went out to cheer on the 17,000 runners!! This year we hung out with Nate's school, check out the new link over to the right, Pgh Marathon - South Side... pay close attention and you will see Nate's noggin 2 times in the line up of kids giving the runners high 5's!! The runners were excited to see them and you could tell it got them pumped up for the trek up hill into Oakland! Maybe next year we will see Uncle Doug and Aunt Kathy running???!!?!? I'd like to run the Relay if anyone is up for it??

CAPA MUSICAL: Blood Brothers
Update: Erica Harding
This is all about Erica!! So Erica is just getting ready to finish up her Sophomore year of high school, thank GOODNESS... it has been a tough one! But before she is done, she will be performing in the musical, so she has been rehearsing hard, hopefully performing at the Benedum again for the Kelly Awards. She has applied for a few jobs, Kennywood, Sandcastle and Pgh City Pools. Erica will be starting training for the Lifeguard position in May for the whole month, but she still will have to pass the swim test. She is also, supposed to be reading up on the driving manual, this I can wait for, so hopefully she isn't reading the manual!! :)
Update: Nate Weaver
This is all about Nate! Nathan has just recently started wearing glasses, he looks so smart! He has begun baseball practice just this week, loves playing basketball and running his dad all over the place looking for the BEST park! He told me today that he has no need to learn how to ride his bike, just not interested. He is doing really good in school, going to gifted classes on Thursdays, he is taking a Shakespeare class and really enjoying it. This summer he is signed up for CLO camp, Musical Theater, they will perform Your a Good Man, Charlie Brown and and he will spend a week at the Carnegie Science Center, We Can Build It Camp.

Play Date for Nate.
You Asked For IT! More pics of ME!
Dinner and drinks for my birthday! Two days a year I get as crazy as possible... (depending on what I need to do the next day.) Usually those days are my annual Holiday Party and my birthday dinner. Of course, we had a great time, and now I know I should never be left alone with Paula. Just so you know for next year! :)

Erica News!!
Update on Erica.... After a rough first report period, Erica has pulled her grades back up where they need to be. Which means she can continue to perform in outside theater projects. Erica is playing Violet Beauregarde in the Musical version of Willy Wonka. She has a call back for her high school musical as one of the main roles, the show this year is Blood Brothers. Keep your fingers crossed, being cast in a major role and only being a Sophomore would be a great accomplishment!
