Last night was the big night for High School Musicals in the area. The awards were held at the Benedum Center, we have seen numerous musicals there and now Erica got to perform on that same stage. They sounded like they belonged there, the best of all the performances last night. Erica was chosen to wear a mic for the performance, because she has one of the stronger voices... I am so proud of her! Pittsburgh CAPA won for Best Costumes, Best Supporting Actor and Best Actress, a great accomplishment for the school.

Hidden Beauty...
A Rose is a Rose...
Last Stop WHOVILLE...
Erica just finished up Seussical! It was a lot of work and took a toll on the both of us, but she says it was worth it all. Next up, Gene Kelly Awards, at the Benedum Theater on Saturday, May 23rd. Her high school is nominated for 7 awards and they will be performing an ensemble number from their show Anna Karenina. Good Luck CAPA!

She survived the Train Crash....
Yes, Erica has made it though her first high school musical. It seemed to be a great experience for her and she has a lot of stories and lessons learned. 'Anna Karenina' turned out to be a favorite among the reviewers (link posted to the right), never being attempted by any other high school and pretty much booed off of Broadway. CAPA did a great job with a very complicated show. GREAT JOB ERICA!! YOU ARE OUR STAR!!!
It's Back... The Pittsburgh Marathon!!
After a 5 year hiatus the Pittsburgh Marathon was back with a waiting list... over 10,000 runners participated. We woke up early and headed out to cheer on all the runners. Our friend Mike was running and we saw Mrs. Plumb from the PTO... it wasn't shown live on TV as it had been in the past and my Mom was really upset, so here are a few pics, just for her! Love you MOM!!
Art All Night....

Art All Night is one of my favorite events that is held in Lawrenceville. Anyone is able to put just one piece of art to be displayed, usually Erica has something to exhibit but this year she was busy with rehearsals. So Nate put a piece in the show, he really got into checking out all the art. He made a robot and a pin w/ a rainbow brain, really cool. I asked what he thought about the show and he said, "Well, I think there were a lot of boobies." Such a boy....
