The Boys

Jonathan and Nate at the Regatta over the July 4th weekend, playing GIANT chess at the South Side Works and Uncle Dan, doing what most Weaver boys do best, NAPPING!

More Fun Pics...

Artsy in the Burgh...

Nate and I went to the Arts Festival, ran through the sheets, met a Shark and made recycled robot. Speaking of artsy, Nate is continuing with his guitar lessons and seems to really like it. He knows part of Iron Man, Ode to Joy, 11 notes and 1 cord. He keeps asking how old he has to be to have his own band. Watch out Jonas Brothers... the Weaver Boys are on the horizon.

Just cool pics...

Breaking News... Pgh PIrates win a game...

They won the game we went to, even got a few home runs. Of course, the most fun was trying to catch hot dogs, watching the pirogi race and singing 'Take me out to the Ball Game' following a bouncing Eat N' Park smiley cookie! Not to mention the amazing view of our beautiful city!

Biking in the City

We have been riding the trails this year. Nate is still polishing up his biking skills, so for now he sits on the back of Jonathan's bike. We head across the Hot Metal Bridge, on the Jail Trail to First Ave Park, take a short break for some ball and head home. It is about 8.5 miles or so and not too buggy. I swallowed one once and it was not a good thing! :)

Spring Sports

Nate hit the links with Jonathan for 5 holes at Schenley Park, they had fun. After not wanting to sign up for T-ball a phone call from the coach changed his mind and he really made some improvements from last year. He will be moving up to Minor League next year. Erica played Softball with her church group and really enjoyed it, she played in just about every game!

Zoo Animals... and Kids!

Kindergarten Friends

Nate and friends at the South Side Dance Recital, he was there to cheer on Erica and his friend Sophie. Also, a few from the field trip to the zoo!

More Kennywood...

Here are some fun pics... the Kennywood Photographer taking our pic of us taking hers, Nate w Corn Dog, his favorite, Erica and Jake having ice cream and Nate being the silly boy that he is.

Kennywood

We decided to do Kennywood early this year... Memorial Day weekend. It wasn't too crowded but it rained most of the day. I convinced (forced), Nate to ride the Racer this year... he seemed to like it, but then broke down 5 minutes after the ride. He was 'traumatized' his words and it is all my fault! Oh, well...

Gene Kelly Awards 2009

Last night was the big night for High School Musicals in the area. The awards were held at the Benedum Center, we have seen numerous musicals there and now Erica got to perform on that same stage. They sounded like they belonged there, the best of all the performances last night. Erica was chosen to wear a mic for the performance, because she has one of the stronger voices... I am so proud of her! Pittsburgh CAPA won for Best Costumes, Best Supporting Actor and Best Actress, a great accomplishment for the school.

Hidden Beauty...

And behind the rose bush are.... these beautiful blooms! I love my small green space, it is the best part of my small yard, and we even have a squirrel that chatters at the birds and our cats. Almost like living in the country... right MR. WEAVER!

A Rose is a Rose...

This is the rose that Zoe gave us.... I never expected it to live, let alone take over my very small green space. I am afraid to move it now, as it blooms beautifully. What should I do?? Matt... HELP!

Last Stop WHOVILLE...

Erica just finished up Seussical! It was a lot of work and took a toll on the both of us, but she says it was worth it all. Next up, Gene Kelly Awards, at the Benedum Theater on Saturday, May 23rd. Her high school is nominated for 7 awards and they will be performing an ensemble number from their show Anna Karenina. Good Luck CAPA!
